Who may use the site

You may browse public catalog information and reviews. Account features require access to a verified @mail.aub.edu email address. You must be legally able to agree to these terms where you live; if local law requires a parent or guardian’s permission, obtain it before using the site.

Review rules

Submit only a truthful account of your own experience. You agree that your reviews will:

• Be relevant to the course and professor selected and based on your own experience.
• Be respectful and avoid threats, harassment, hate speech, or targeted abuse.
• Exclude private or sensitive information about you or anyone else.
• Avoid unlawful, knowingly false, defamatory, or unsupported allegations.
• Not impersonate another person, manipulate ratings, or include spam or promotional material.

Do not use the site to disrupt its operation, probe or bypass security, access another user’s account, or collect site data through automated means without our written permission.

Reviews and moderation

Reviews are user opinions and are not verified or endorsed by Ratesis or a university. We do not promise that every review is accurate, complete, or appropriate. Reviews are public, and comments may reveal information you include in them. You can report a review using its report link. We may review reports, remove or restrict content, or suspend access when we believe these terms or the law have been violated. We are not required to monitor every post before it appears.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit. You grant Ratesis a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and format your content as needed to operate, maintain, moderate, and promote the review service. This license ends when your content is deleted, except for copies retained for a limited time in backups, legal records, or where retention is otherwise lawful. You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit the content and grant this license.

Accounts and reviews

Keep your password confidential and tell us if you suspect unauthorized account use. You may remove your own reviews from the “My reviews” page. Removing a review does not necessarily remove copies already made by other people or systems. We may restrict or close an account for misuse, security, or legal reasons.

Site materials and availability

The site’s design, branding, and software belong to Ratesis or its licensors. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes in line with these terms. The site and catalog information are provided for general informational purposes. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent allowed by applicable law, the site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be accurate, reliable, secure, or continuously available. To the extent allowed by law, Ratesis is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site or reliance on user-submitted content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms by publishing a revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms. Applicable law and dispute procedures depend on the circumstances and mandatory laws that apply to you; these terms do not take away any non-waivable rights.
